Every practice begins with a certain instinct a way of looking at the world that gradually becomes a way of working. For Ar. Keerthiya Balraj and Aryan B Nair, founders of Studio Vaag, that instinct is rooted in an interest in spaces, materials, and the quiet details that shape how we experience them.
 
Studio Vaag grew from this curiosity and from a desire to create a practice that approaches every project with openness, thought, and intent. Rather than working within a fixed aesthetic, Keerthiya believes that every space should emerge from its own context  the people who inhabit it, the character of its surroundings, and the materials that give it form.
 
Her approach is attentive to the things that often go unnoticed: proportion, light, texture, tactility, the way materials age, and the relationship between an object and the space around it. These details become part of a larger process of creating spaces that feel natural rather than prescribed.
 
At Studio Vaag, the process is deliberately considered. Ideas are questioned, materials are explored, details are refined, and conversations continue through execution. There is an appreciation for making things well and for allowing the character of a project to reveal itself over time.
